English Teacher is an indie post-punk band hailing from Leeds, United Kingdom. Known for their insightful lyricism and distinct indie sound, the quartet is steadily making a name for themselves in the music scene.
The band, comprised of Lily Fontaine (vocals, rhythm guitar, synth), Douglas Frost (drums), Nicholas Eden (bass), and Lewis Whiting (lead guitar, synth), formed in 2020 after meeting at Leeds Conservatoire. Their music often leans into introspective themes, characterized by a "kitchen sink drama" approach rather than straightforward anthems.
