These included the indie rock band The Meat Cleavers, the alternative R&B project The Sound of Love, and the post-punk outfit Outdoor Miners. In 2009, he began releasing music under the moniker Makeout Videotape, producing the album Heat Wave as a self-contained indie rock project.
