Limbonic Art is a Norwegian symphonic black metal band, known for its strong incorporation of orchestral and classical music influences. The band was formed in 1993 in Norway.
Initially a four-piece, Limbonic Art quickly evolved into a duo before releasing any material. The consistent lineup has since comprised Daemon (Vidar Jensen) and Morfeus (Krister Dreyer). Between 1995 and 1996, they recorded two demo tapes: a rehearsal tape and an official promo tape. This early material attracted the attention of Nocturnal Art Productions, a label founded by Samoth of Emperor and Zyklon. In 1996, the band released their debut album, Moon in the Scorpio.
