Goldfinger, a prominent ska punk band, was formed in 1993 in California. The group's name is a nod to the classic James Bond film. The original lineup featured John Feldmann on vocals and guitar, Simon Williams on bass, "Dangerous" Darrin Pfeiffer on drums, and Charlie Paulson on guitar.
Prior to signing with a major label, Goldfinger released an EP titled Richter. Many of the tracks on Richter were demo versions that would later appear on their self-titled full-length debut album, Goldfinger, released in 1996. The band achieved significant success with their single "Here in Your Bedroom." Their song "Superman" also gained widespread recognition after being featured in the popular video game Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. Another track, "Spokesman," was later included in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4.
