History W.I.N.D.

Italian Jam Rock Power Trio W.I.N.D. sounds like an interplay mix of Rock, Blues, slide guitar, soulful vocals and a thunderous rhythm section.

All blended with psychedelia, improvisation and "jazzy" accents typical of old-time trios; vintage ROCK sound and a polyhedral rhythm section that follows the multicoloured guitar. They are a reincarnation of the historical bands of the late sixties and early seventies, when the magic formula of the power trios was used to evoke hypnotic blues trails on which they improvised.

Energy, attitude and atmosphere are very important for a band like W.I.N.D.. The fire, the intensity and the interplay of songs like "Trieste wind", "Amnesia", "Dance with the devil" and "Deja Vu with the Blues" captured the attention of many American musicians like Johnny Neel, Mike Cullison, Tishamingo, Warren Haynes, Brian Lee, Walter "Wolfman" Washington, B.B. King, Alvin Youngblood Hart, Marc Ford and Holmes Brothers.

A Rock Band with a long story behind them..

Five Cds, and hundred of gigs everywhere in Europe, some of them with big artists like B.B. King, Joe Cocker, Steppenwolf, Ten Years After, Holmes Brothers, Blasters, Blues Brothers, Animals, Yardbirds, Johnny Neel, John Mooney and many others. They jammed several times with American bands like Gov't Mule, Tishamingo, John Mooney, Holmes Brothers, Brian Lee,Marc Ford and played 5 tours in Europe with Alvin Youngblood Hart's Muscle Theory, (with Fabio Drusin on bass and Silver Bassi on drums) from 2008 to 2010, also as special guest on Gary Moore Tour in Germany (March 2008, for 10 gigs), they also recorded live at BBC in London on July 2010 with AYHMT.

Well known from the "Allman Brothers Family" for their collaboration with Johnny Neel (W.I.N.D. recorded and toured several times with Johnny..) and for the good reviews on "Hittin' The Note" Magazine, their name is growin' bigger day by day around Europe and U.S.A. also.

Last Cd "Walkin' In a New Direction" is on several best selling european charts (Artesuono 2010) and is available worldwide on iTunes, and distributed in Japan, Italy, France, Germany, UK and USA (BFM Digital) Their musical influences go from John Coltrane to Traffic; from Soul to Blues; from Funk to Indian music; from Cream to The Allman Brothers Band..Without forgetting Dylan, Son House, Zeppelin, Van Morrison, David Crosby, Otis,The Band, James Brown, Sly and all the black music, mixed with their "Retrò" ROCK style

W.I.N.D. are going to continue showing a little more jazz rock, acoustic folk, ballads and other influences.

They just want to show all of the different sides of "W.I.N.D." that they haven't yet revealed, being different every night and making the audience feel like they were a part of something that only happened that one time...
