Collegium Musicum

Collegium Musicum was a Czechoslovakian symphonic rock group established by keyboardist Marián Varga in 1969. Prevalent in the band's repertoire are reinterpretations of Western classical themes and original experimental compositions bearing signs of artistic postmodernism. The original lineup included members Varga (hammond organ, keyboards, piano), guitarist Rastislav Vacho, bassist Fedor Frešo, and drummer Dušan Hájek. They released 7 LPs and 1 EP in various lineup changes between 1971 and 1981, after which Varga disbanded the group.

The group briefly reunited with Frešo and Varga in 2008 to play a series of concerts in Bratislava, Slovakia.
