History Zog

There are at least 3 projects with this name.

1) Zog was a trio from The Netherlands who released the album Do Ze Funkie Wiz Me in 1983. The members were Steve Trousers (guitar, bass, vocals), Maarten Veldhuis (vocals, guitar, bass, drums, accordion), and W. Pulp-Hoedjes (vocals, guitar, bass, drums, piano, percussion). The music is a mix of post-punk, new wave, funk and freaky experimentation.

2) The death metal band Zog from Chicago, Illinois formed in 2004. The band consisted of vocalist/lyricist/bassist Marc Broude, guitarists Chris Anderson and Eric Sepata, and drummer/vocalist Danny Cortez. In 2006, Zog released an independent 4-track EP titled 'Revive'.

3) "DJ Zog" is a minimal techno artist and DJ from Melbourne.

He has played live at deepchord (club), glitch bar, rainbow serpent festival and DJ'd here there and everywhere, from Phagnan Fullmoon party to Earthcore.

Has had music released on Clan Analogue recordings, as well as a remix for Little Nobody plus various net releases.

Promoted a well regarded series of underground minimal warehouse partes called Headspace earlier on in the decade.

Emerged from the improvised techno jam band DoSE who played around Melbourne in the mid to late 90s.
