9GOATS BLACK OUT was an alternative rock band formed in Niigata, Japan on December 24, 2007 and based in Tokyo. The lineup was ryo (vocals), utA (guitar), and hati (bass). They were also supported by drummer takumi. Support musician akaya provided keyboards and programming (considered "manipulate" by the band) until his departure in 2012 due to health issues. Their original support drummer was aki, who was replaced by 篤人 (Atsuto) in 2010.
9GOATS BLACK OUT was totally independent and self-produced throughout their career; they launched their own official website http://9goats.net and independent label dalli simultaneously on December 24, 2007, followed by the release of their debut EP devils in bedside in limited quantity through their website as well. It received positive reviews and was properly released for distribution via ONG DISTRIBUTION on April 30, 2008. They followed that up with their first single, "Sleeping Beauty," released September 9. Their second EP Black rain was the first to be released abroad through CLJ Records in Europe.
