Biography Jack Green

Jack Green (born March 12, 1951, Glasgow, Scotland) played with Marc Bolan & T. Rex between 1973 and 1974, then with The Pretty Things between 1974 and 1976.

Jack Green`s many contributions on the Pretty Things' 'Silk Torpedo' record go largely uncredited. This classic album is the darling of the critic and fans.

He was also a founding member of the critically acclaimed band 'Metropolis', whose only recordings are highly sought after by longtime Green and T-Rex fans. Green's unique style of guitar playing, intense vocals, heartfelt lyrics and great hooks have kept many a guitar fan mystified as to how he plays his signature guitar riffs.

Later, Jack Green went solo with the smash albums `Humanesque`, Reverse Logic`, Mystique`and `Latest Game`. Jack Green received a Gold Record for 'Humanesque', which eventually achieved Double Platinum Status in Canada.

Green`s musical genius is not to be denied. His popularity in Canada, Japan and Australia remains unwavered over the years and his fanclub The Jack Green Appreciation Society` has a worldwide membership that charges no annual membership dues. In 2010, saw Jack Green in the midst of recording his long overdue fifth solo album, possibly titled `A Night In Morocco`. Happily married, Mr. Green continues to enjoy his successful film production company in the Isle of Wight.

There is a country artist with a similar name, Jack Greene. Please fix your tags, as this person bears no resemblence to the rocker Jack Green. There truly is no comparison!
