Biography Ruben Block

Ruben Block (born 26 June 1971) is a Belgian musician, most famous for being the guitarist and vocalist of hard rock band Triggerfinger.

Block became known in the musical business for playing in the band Sin Alley, which he played in from 1991 to 1998. Sin Alley was unable to gain much popularity, and they silently disbanded in 1998. Soon afterwards, Block formed the band Triggerfinger, alongside Mario Goossens and Paul Van Bruystegem, and AngeliCo with Martine Van Hoof; later joined by Axl Peleman and Mario Goossens.

On some occassions, Block has given solo acoustic performances while with Triggerfinger. One of those performances was recorded on tape, and released as an unofficial album titled "Interview met & akoestisch live-optreden" (Interview with & acoustic live-performance).

He has noted that some of his favorite bands and artists include AC/DC, Big Sugar, ZZ Top, Led Zeppelin, Merle Travis, Jimi Hendrix, Tom Waits, Soundgarden and Los Lobos.
