The famous quote by William Shakespeare should however read ”Something Is Rockin’ In The State Of Denmark.

The Danish band Shotgun Revolution is like a musical bon-fire. Comin’ straight out of Copenhagen with a distinct sound inspired by classic bands like Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC & Guns N Roses, but with a twist. Put together by lead guitarist, writer and producer Martin Frank, whose vision was to create a band able to raise the bar of Danish rock music worldwide.

In a small country with only 5 million people furthermore a music industry mainly succeeding within pop music, hard work and persistency were key elements to find suitable and talented people for a rock band.

The search paid off when lyricist and lead singer Ditlev was caught in the spider’s web. His unique voice no doubt makes the band, Shotgun Revolution, stand out from the crowd. Martin and Ditlev began the creative process of writing song material and soon musical sparks were flying, something was about to really rock…

To archive an international sound Shotgun Revolution enlisted renowned American Grammy Award winner Flemming Rasmussen.

Mr. Rasmussen made his reputation producing some of the finest work with American heavy metal band Metallica. Album titles like ”...And Justice For All”, ”Master Of Puppets” and ”Ride The Lightning” are considered some of the best work by Metallica.

Shotgun Revolution is now getting ready to release their debut album “Join The Revolution” which has just been mastered by George Marino, who more or less has mastered all the rock albums you love (AC/DC, Aerosmith, Guns’N’Roses and the list goes on & on). The album Join The Revolution will be released 2010-08-23

The band will also be touring mainly in Denmark this summer starting with the one day rock festival “Copenhagen Live” 2nd of June, which features artists and bands like Slash, Rammstein, Bullet For My Vallentine & Volbeat – the tour ends with a performance at the Skanderborg Festival.

Shotgun Revolution is a world class act in the making and is getting ready to take on the world of rock’n’roll….!!

SHOTGUN REVOLUTION

Who the fuck do they think they are !!!!! Guns 'N Roses ????

...that statement came from the backstage area after Shotgun Revolution had delivered an amazin' show on stage, and they where now partying like there were no tomorrow......and yes, this band is special and ready to conquer the world with an international sound not very often heard from a danish rock band.

The band is like a musical bonfire inspired by classic rock bands like Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Guns 'N Roses & AC/DC.

The 5 piece was put together by lead guitarist & producer Martin Frank, whose vision was to create a band who would put Denmark on the worlds rock chart.

This band really make a difference when they get up on stage. Their presence, energy and musical ability put Shotgun Revolution above the rest and hit the audience right between the eyes (and legs).The lead singer Ditlev each time delivers an performance that blows you away and with his unique voice and stage personality he holds the crowd in the palm of his hand.

The band have successfully entered various talent competitions in Denmark among them - Denmark Radios P3's (equivalent to BBC Radio One) “Karrierekanon” where they chosen to compete out of over more than 900 band entries. Also Denmark Radios P4's (equivalent to BBC Radio Two) “Rocktoget” competition were entered and Shotgun Revolution ended up representing Copenhagen in the final.

They were also chosen by international renowned online rock magazine “The Rock' N Roll Report” as band of the week

Shotgun Revolution has just finished their debut album with help from among others the Grammy Award winning producer Flemming Rasmussen who produced some of Metallica's biggest releases (….and Justice For All, Master Of Puppets). George Marino mastered the whole lot and it sounds absolutely awsome
