Biography Richard Sinclair

1. Richard S. Sinclair (born 6th June 1948 in Canterbury, England) is a progressive rock bassist, guitarist and vocalist who has been a member of several bands of the Canterbury scene.

Sinclair played guitar (and occasionally sang) in the root Canterbury band Wilde Flowers, before going on to be a founding member of Caravan, switching to bass guitar and sharing lead vocals with Pye Hastings.

Sinclair left Caravan in 1972 to form Hatfield and the North. In 1991, he formed his own group, Caravan of Dreams, with ex-Camel drummer Andy Ward and former Hatfield roadie Rick Biddulph on bass. In 1996, Richard Sinclair left his longtime Canterbury home to move permanently to Italy.

2. Richard D. Sinclair (born 24th October 1965 in London, England) is a member of the U.K.-based electronic group Coffee in Zurich (sometimes abbreviated "CiZ").

Sinclair released his first solo album Indubitably in 2009, and The Art of the Possible in 2011.
