Martin Motnik is a seasoned and skillful bassist currently based in Munich (Germany) who represents his playing style as instrumental rock, as a music fan can now experience on his most recent recording, "Bass Invader". photoHis most utilized bass is a Ritter bass. Motnik has been playing bass since 1984, and straight from the shoulder discloses his career objective, "To be an international working studio bassist and solo artist."
When asked to finally make public his favorite or most used effect for the bass, Motnik unflinchingly stated, "Distortion," and continued by outlining his musicial goals, "Showing the huge versatility of the bass bass with songs that are also enjoyable for non-musicians." He maintains a desire to, at some point, study with all those big-shot bass players in one big camp and have a big jam, while watching and learning the trademarks of their playing, and is presently listening to Gregg Bissonette and Mattias "IA" Eklundh. His principal gratification? "Since I am a perfectionist, I'm never really happy about a recording directly afterwards. Listening to it the next day, finding that I like it, always makes me very happy," he explains absolutely.
