Biography Anders Björler

Anders Martin Björler (born February 26th, 1973) is a Swedish musician and songwriter from Gothenburg.

He is best known as one of the founding members and lead guitarist and songwriter for the Swedish melodic death metal pioneering band At the Gates, as well as the former lead guitarist for the Swedish thrash metal band the Haunted.

Björler released an instrumental solo album on November, 2013 entitled Antikythera via record label Razzia. Björler has stated that the album was inspired by progressive rock, post rock, jazz and classic Italian film soundtracks.

Björler is twin brother to Jonas Björler, with whom he has played with in both At the Gates and the Haunted. Together with his father, Björler had built his own guitar cabinets, which were then used for the recording of At the Gates' Slaughter of the Soul (1995).

Björler is an avid horror movie fan, and has also produced and directed some of his own, home-made horror films.
