Adema, an American rock band hailing from Bakersfield, California, emerged onto the music scene in 2000. The original lineup featured vocalist Mark Chavez, guitarists Tim Fluckey and Mike Ransom, bassist Dave DeRoo, and drummer Kris Kohls. Their self-titled debut album, Adema, arrived in 2001, followed by Unstable in 2003. However, the band soon faced internal discord and a series of significant lineup shifts.
Guitarist Mike Ransom departed in 2003, and vocalist Mark Chavez left in 2004. The band welcomed Luke Caraccioli as their new vocalist in early 2005, who contributed to the album Planets before exiting later that same year. The subsequent addition of vocalist Bobby Reeves and guitarist Ed Faris, previously of the band Level, marked a new chapter, culminating in the 2007 album Kill the Headlights, after which Adema entered a period of hiatus.
