Anthony Edward Visconti (born April 24, 1944) is an American record producer, musician, and singer. He is widely recognized for his significant contributions to the careers of glam rock pioneers T. Rex and rock icon David Bowie, as well as his more recent work with Kristeen Young.
Visconti's extensive career, dating back to the late 1960s, has seen him collaborate with a diverse range of acclaimed artists. His production credits include albums for U2, The Moody Blues, Mary Hopkin (to whom he was married), Thin Lizzy, Ralph McTell, Sparks, Gentle Giant, Semi Precious Weapons, The Boomtown Rats, Les Rita Mitsouko, Louis Bertignac, Hazel O'Connor, Adam Ant, The Stranglers, Richard Barone, Manic Street Preachers, Hugh Cornwell, Morrissey, and Alejandro Escovedo.
