History
The catholics are a seven piece band formed in Sydney Australia in 1992 by Lloyd Swanton, the bassist and composer with another Sydney jazz outfit, The Necks.
Their first, self-titled, record was released in 1993 and featured the following lineup:
Lloyd Swanton: acoustic and electric basses
Tony Buck: drums
Sandy Evans: tenor and soprano saxophones
James Greening: trombone
Sammila Sithole: percussion
Waldo Fabian: electric bass
Dave Brewer: guitar
