Piano. Mainstream, bop and hard bop pianist who made some good dates for Blue Note, Strata and other labels in late '60s and early '70s, then resurfaced in mid-'80s on compilation devoted to recent Detroit musicians. He's never made impact of '50s Motor City players, but is thooughly in tradition of Hank Jones/Tommy Flanagan. ~ Ron Wynn, All Music Guide
