Hue and Cry is a Scottish pop duo formed in 1983 in Coatbridge, Scotland. The band consists of brothers Pat Kane, who handles lead vocals, and Greg Kane, responsible for keyboards and production.
Their musical journey began with the release of their first single, "Here Comes Everybody," in 1986 on the independent label Stampede. Although not a commercial success, it garnered attention from Circa, a subsidiary of Virgin Records. This led to the duo signing with the label and releasing their debut album, Seduced and Abandoned, in 1987. The album's second single, "Labour of Love," became their most significant hit, climbing to number 6 on the UK charts.
