There are at least two bands named The Miseries:

2. a circus side-show/dark cabaret puppet show from New York, United States.
1. The Miseries is a garage rock band from The Netherlands, featuring Tim Knol, who is a successful singer-songwriter in his own right. Knol and his friends (guitarist Melle Boersma, bassist Eric Lensink and drummer Kees Schaper) founded The Miseries at a pub in 2013. In The Miseries, Knol showcases his edgier and grittier side as a singer, guitarist and songwriter. The Miseries' début album is set for an April 2015 release.
2. Baris Ger's traveling Miseries is a circus side-show/dark cabaret puppet show begun as an e-mail collaboration between Jon V. of the New York city based art-punk band The Strange Walls, And Baris Ger, a performance artist based in Istanbul, Turkey. The two had collaborated before in New York in the early 2000's with Elecrto-punk band Split Me Wide Open. "The Miseries" is a nickname for the freak show puppet performers and serves as a band name when their songs are being showcased.
