History
Great American Ghost is a metalcore band that emerged from Boston, Massachusetts, in 2012. Known for their intense and aggressive sound, the quintet delivers a potent blend of anger and thrash metal.
Early Work and Debut Album
The band's first full-length album, Everyone Leaves, was released in 2015. This record features ten tracks characterized by a "New England brutality," despite its lyrical themes exploring the dissolution of various relationships. The band recorded Everyone Leaves during an extensive touring period, dedicating approximately one month to its creation and completing the recording process in just four days. The album was produced by Jay Maas, guitarist for the band Defeater, at Getaway Recording.
Subsequent Releases
Following their debut, Great American Ghost released their second album, Hatred Stems from the Seed, in 2017. Their third studio album, Power Through Terror, was released in 2020.
