The Boxer Rebellion is an indie/alternative rock band known for its compelling blend of raw energy and intricate melodies. The group features American vocalist Nathan Nicholson, Australian guitarist Todd Howe, and Englishmen Adam Harrison (bass) and Piers Hewitt (drums). Together, they craft a sound characterized by powerful, bass-driven grooves, Nicholson's dynamic vocals that shift from delicate to explosive, and memorable melodic passages.
The band's origins trace back to London in 2001. Nathan Nicholson, who had relocated from Tennessee after his mother's death, met guitarist Todd Howe through a chance encounter at the city's 12 Bar Club. Their immediate connection led to them living and writing music together. College friends Adam Harrison and Piers Hewitt soon joined, drawn by a shared passion for epic, escapist music, thus completing the lineup of The Boxer Rebellion.
