CamelPhat, the Grammy and Ivor Novello-nominated DJ and production duo comprising Dave Whelan and Mike Di Scala, have achieved significant global success since their breakthrough hit ‘Cola’ in 2017. Hailing from Liverpool, the pair have established themselves as one of Beatport’s all-time best-selling artists, consistently evolving their distinctive sound.
Debut Album and Subsequent Releases
Their critically acclaimed and silver-certified debut album, ‘Dark Matter’, features collaborations with prominent artists such as Cristoph, Artbat, Ali Love, Noel Gallagher, Jake Bugg, and Yannis Philippakis of Foals. The album includes major hits like ‘Panic Room’, ‘Breathe’, and the chart-topping ‘Cola’.
Following ‘Dark Matter’, CamelPhat released ‘Silenced’ and ‘The Future’, further showcasing their signature melodic house and techno influences. These tracks were prominently featured during their sold-out ‘Dark Matter’ UK tour, which included performances at major venues like Glasgow Hydro Arena and Wembley Arena in London.
Recent Activities and Future Endeavors
CamelPhat are currently finalizing their new album, which promises to continue their sonic evolution. The duo has had an active 2023, launching their record label ‘When Stars Align’. Their recent performances include showcases at Miami Music Week, appearances at Afterlife events globally, Coachella, a return to Liverpool’s Pier Head, and headlining Creamfields’ Steel Yard.
Further highlights of 2023 include a 20-date residency at Ibiza’s Pacha, topping the bill for Printworks' closing weekend, and hosting a night at the new North London venue, Drumsheds, as well as a date at The Warehouse Project. More announcements are expected.
