Holy Holy is a musical project formed by Brisbane-based singer-songwriter Timothy Carroll and Melbourne-based guitarist and composer Oscar Dawson. Dawson is also known for his work with Ali Barter and Dukes of Windsor.
The collaboration began when Carroll and Dawson met while teaching English in Southeast Asia. They maintained contact over the years, but their musical partnership truly took shape in 2011. While Carroll was living in Sweden and working on solo material, and Dawson was based in Berlin, they reconnected serendipitously in Europe. Dawson visited Stockholm for unrelated reasons and stayed with Carroll, leading them to record a demo for a song that would eventually become part of Holy Holy's repertoire.
