Hailing from Skellefteå in the far north of Sweden, KNUGEN FALLER is a prominent voice in the new wave of Swedish punk, making an international impact. The band's name, which roughly translates to "The King Falls," is a playful nod to a perceived characteristic of the Swedish monarch, Karl XVI Gustaf, referencing his alleged dyslexia and tendency to misspell his name and title.

KNUGEN FALLER draws inspiration from a diverse range of artists, including Göran Persson and Stefan Granberg, as well as the punk band The Regulations. However, their distinctive musical style is often described as a unique fusion, evoking the image of Polly Styrene's vocals set against the backdrop of a "Bloodstains across Sweden" compilation record.
