History

Ronny Mosuse

Ronny Mosuse, born in Antwerp on May 17, 1971, is a Flemish singer, musician, songwriter, music producer, and public figure.

Early Career and The B-Tunes

In 1988, Ronny, alongside his brothers Robert and Jean-Paul, participated in Humo's Rock Rally with their group The B-Tunes. They secured third place, following Ze Noiz and The Romans. Their single "Stone cold woman," produced by Wouter Van Belle, was released. Bart Peeters recognized the brothers' talent and collaborated with them. Together with Robert and Ronny, he founded The Radios, with Ronny co-writing songs such as "She Goes Nana."

The 1990s: Production, Composition, and Diverse Projects

Throughout the 1990s, Mosuse was active as a music producer for the program "De Liegende Doos." He also composed for children's musicals, including those based on "Suske en Wiske" and "Pippi Longstocking." His television work included presenting "Rock Rapport," and he contributed to the radio program "Cuisine X." Musically, he performed with the group The Clement Peerens Explosition, taking on the persona of Sylvain Aertbeliën, and also played with K's Choice and Hooverphonic.

Solo Work and "Stronger"

In late 2002, Mosuse released the album "Stronger," which was dedicated to his late brother. In 2003, he embarked on a tour across Flanders accompanied by a string quartet, which led to a television special on Canvas. In the autumn of 2004, he toured with a brass quarter. His theater program, "Man met een boodschap," featured texts from writers such as Herman Brusselmans, Rick de Leeuw, and Frank Vander Linden.

"Altijd Oktober" and Subsequent Tours

In 2005, his song "Alles wat je doet," produced by Jan Leyers, won the Radio 2 Award for Best Song. The autumn of that year saw the release of his first Dutch-language album, "Altijd Oktober." In the years that followed, he toured with this material in theaters, performing with a "pop" ensemble.

"Allemaal Anders" and Humanitarian Efforts

January 2008 marked the release of his follow-up album, "Allemaal Anders." This Dutch-language record was inspired by an extensive trip to Congo. Ronny Mosuse, alongside Vincent Kompany, serves as an ambassador for SOS Children's Villages, actively promoting their campaign for Congo. Together, they support the construction of an SOS Children's Village in Kinshasa.
