Lesnikov-16: Soviet-Era Synthpop with a Sci-Fi Twist

Lesnikov-16 emerged as a distinctive voice in the Russian sovietwave and synthpop scene. This project served as a creative outlet for the members of Stillife, a well-established Russian darkwave and synth-gothic band.

A Blend of Nostalgia and Irony

Drawing inspiration from the romanticism of Soviet space exploration and incorporating samples from 1970s Russian science fiction films, Lesnikov-16 offered a unique sonic landscape. The band's music explored an ironic and playful synthpop dimension, showcasing a different facet of the Stillife members' artistic vision.
