History

T.W.D.Y.

T.W.D.Y., an acronym for "The Whole Damn Yay," was a hip-hop group formed in 1999 by producer Ant Banks.

Formation and Debut Album

The initial lineup featured Ant Banks alongside rappers Rappin' 4-Tay and Captain Save'em. Their debut album, Derty Werk, released in 1999, remains their most recognized work. Key tracks from the album include "Pervin'," "Ride with Me" – a song notable for helping to resolve a dispute between Ant Banks and fellow rapper Poohman – and the widely played "Players Holiday." The latter featured guest appearances from Too $hort, Mac Mall, Otis, and Shug, and received significant radio airplay across the United States.

Second Album and Lineup Change

In 2000, T.W.D.Y. released their second album, Lead the Way. For this release, Rappin' 4-Tay was replaced by rapper Dolla Will, shifting the group's dynamic.
