Rīgas Estrādes Orķestris (REO)

Rīgas Estrādes Orķestris, often abbreviated as REO, was a prominent Latvian ensemble that was active from 1957 to 1976. The orchestra played a significant role in the popular music scene of its time.

The initial lineup of Rīgas Estrādes Orķestris, formed in 1957, included R. Pauls, E. Ābelskalns, H. Brando, G. Kušķis, E. Švarcs, and E. Viesulis.

Leadership of Raimonds Pauls

From 1964 onwards, the orchestra was led by the influential composer and pianist Raimonds Pauls. His direction marked a significant period for REO, shaping its musical output and direction.
