Medications
Medications is an American rock band known for their distinctive fusion of math rock, post-punk, and indie rock influences. The band emerged from the Washington D.C. music scene, releasing their self-titled debut EP on the influential Dischord Records label.
Musical Evolution and Key Releases
Their first full-length album, "Your Favorite People All in One Place," followed in early 2005, also released through Dischord Records. This album further solidified their unique sound, characterized by intricate guitar work, driving rhythms, and dynamic song structures.
Band Members and Previous Projects
The core lineup of Medications features Devin Ocampo on vocals and guitar, Chad Molter on bass, and Andrew Becker on drums. Ocampo and Molter are recognized for their prior involvement in Faraquet, a band that cultivated a dedicated following within the math rock community and also released music on Dischord Records. Devin Ocampo has also contributed his drumming talents to Smart Went Crazy and currently performs with Mary Timony, a project that also includes Chad Molter on bass.
