History
Kashbad
Kashbad was a post-hardcore band hailing from the Basque Country, Spain. Active from 1995 to 2002, the group left a notable mark on the Spanish music scene. Following their initial activity, the band announced a return in 2014, releasing new material.
Discography and Early Years
The band's output includes a demo released in 1993, followed by three full-length albums. Their self-titled debut, Kashbad, was released in 1995. Two years later, in 1997, they released Distantzia, and their final album from that initial period, Hesiak, came out in 1999. These albums were distributed by Esan Ozenki Records.
Musical Style and Influences
Kashbad's sound has often been compared to influential post-hardcore bands such as Fugazi and Bluetip, as well as other artists associated with the Dischord Records label. Their music resonated with fans of raw, energetic, and often complex rock arrangements.
Post-Band Activity and Reunion
After Kashbad concluded their initial run in 2002, lead singer Sorkun embarked on a successful solo career. The band later reunited, announcing their return in 2014 and releasing a new album, signaling a continuation of their musical journey.
