Tanya Donelly, born July 14, 1966, in Newport, Rhode Island, is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Based in New England, she played a pivotal role in the formation of the alternative rock band Throwing Muses alongside her stepsister Kristin Hersh. Her musical journey continued through the 1990s with significant contributions to The Breeders and the highly successful band Belly.

Early Career and Breakthrough with Belly

Donelly first gained wider recognition as a co-founder of Throwing Muses.
