History
Metalium
Metalium was a power metal band formed in Hamburg, Germany. Their musical style adhered to the traditional power metal sound, a genre pioneered by influential bands like Helloween and Blind Guardian. The band officially disbanded in 2011, following the release of eight studio albums and two DVD productions.
Early Success and Musical Style
Their debut album, Millennium Metal - Chapter One, released in 1999, achieved significant chart success, earning the distinction of "Europe's most successful Metal-Debut in 1999." Metalium's repertoire included covers of songs from notable artists such as Kansas, Queen, Accept, and Deep Purple, showcasing their appreciation for classic rock and metal.
Vocalist's Contributions
Vocalist Henning Basse made notable contributions outside of Metalium. He performed vocals for Firewind on two separate tours in 2007 and temporarily filled in for Kai Hansen, performing with Gamma Ray for two dates in January 2008.
