Edwin Luna y La Trakalosa de Monterrey is a prominent Regional Mexican ensemble that has played a pivotal role in popularizing the banda genre beyond its traditional roots in Sinaloa. Founded in 2011 in Monterrey, Nuevo León, the group is led by vocalist Edwin Luna, whose powerful voice and charismatic stage presence have made him one of the most recognizable figures in modern Latin music.

Originally performing under the name Banda Escandalosa, the group rebranded to La Trakalosa de Monterrey and quickly ascended the charts. They are credited with establishing a major banda presence in northern Mexico, a region historically dominated by norteño and conjunto styles. Their breakthrough came with the hit single "San Lunes," which showcased their ability to blend traditional brass arrangements with contemporary romantic themes.
