The Bros. Landreth are a Canadian alternative country and folk music group renowned for their distinctive blend of bluesy guitar, organ-driven arrangements, and close vocal harmonies. The Winnipeg-based band, comprised of brothers David and Joey Landreth alongside drummer Ryan Voth, emerged from a deep-seated musical heritage, shaped by their father Wally Landreth, a respected local musician.
Growing up surrounded by music, David and Joey Landreth were exposed to a wide range of influences, from their father's bar gigs to the records played in their home. Artists like Bonnie Raitt, Ry Cooder, Little Feat, John Hiatt, and Lyle Lovett formed the bedrock of their early musical education. These influences, combined with their experiences growing up in the Canadian prairies, provided a unique foundation for their sound, differentiating them from their American Americana counterparts.
