Ferocious Dog

Ferocious Dog is a band hailing from Warsop, Nottinghamshire. The group's origins trace back to the late 1980s as a trio featuring Ken Bonsall on lead vocals and guitar, Dan Booth on fiddle, and Ian Wagstaff on bodhrán. Shortly after, the lineup expanded with the addition of Dave Drury on bass, Paul Newbury on drums, and Jimmy Carrol on guitar, banjo, and penny whistle.

After several periods of disbandment and reformation, the band experienced a significant shift following the tragic passing of drummer Paul Newbury in 2005. His position was filled by Brad Drury, son of bassist Dave Drury. The group further evolved with the subsequent additions of Kyle Peters on guitar and, in early 2011, Ellis Waring, who brought his talents on mandolin and guitar to the ensemble.
