Tyler Hilton's musical journey began in Palm Springs, California, where he grew up in a household that fostered his love for music. Inspired by legends like Elvis Presley, Robert Johnson, and Muddy Waters, Hilton honed his skills playing guitar and singing from a young age. He spent his formative years performing at local open mic nights and clubs, often playing blues and jazz covers in coffeehouses and restaurants, earning tips from appreciative audiences.
Seeking to launch his professional music career, Hilton moved to Los Angeles. After releasing an independent self-titled CD, he signed with Maverick Records, an imprint of Warner Bros. His major-label debut, The Tracks of Tyler Hilton, coincided with his acting debut as the charismatic Chris Keller on the popular television series One Tree Hill. Hilton's acting career continued to flourish with roles in the critically acclaimed Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line, where he portrayed Elvis Presley, and the independent film Charlie Bartlett alongside Robert Downey Jr. He also returned to One Tree Hill for its final season in 2012.
