Probot: A Metal Supergroup Project
Probot was a highly acclaimed metal project spearheaded by Dave Grohl, renowned for his work with Nirvana, Foo Fighters, and Queens of the Stone Age. In this endeavor, Grohl took on the role of multi-instrumentalist, performing nearly all the music himself. The project's unique concept involved Grohl crafting instrumental tracks inspired by the sounds of legendary metal bands he admired. He would then send these recordings to a diverse lineup of vocalists, accompanied by a simple request: "Send back with vocals."
