Carlos Roberto Baute Jiménez, known professionally as Carlos Baute, is a prominent Venezuelan singer, songwriter, and television personality. Born on March 8, 1974, in Caracas, Baute possesses a diverse heritage with Spanish, Cuban, and Venezuelan roots. His musical style is primarily rooted in Latin pop, though he frequently incorporates elements of bachata and romantic ballads into his repertoire.
Early Life and Career Beginnings
Baute’s journey in the entertainment industry began at the age of 13 when he joined the boy band Los Chamos. The group released the album Con un poco de Amor, providing him with early exposure to the Latin music scene. In 1994, he transitioned to a solo career with his debut album, Orígenes I. During this period, he also worked as a model and ventured into acting, appearing as Pedro José in the 1997 Venezuelan telenovela Destino de Mujer.
A pivotal moment in his career occurred in 1999 with the release of the album Yo nací para querer.... This project facilitated his move to Spain, where he established himself as a major commercial force. His popularity grew steadily through the early 2000s as he released a series of successful albums that resonated with audiences across the Spanish-speaking world.

In 2008, Baute released De Mi Puño Y Letra, an album that solidified his international status. The record featured the massive hit single "Colgando En Tus Manos." While the solo version was well-received, the duet version featuring Spanish singer Marta Sánchez became a global phenomenon. The song dominated charts across Latin America and Spain for months, becoming one of the most successful Spanish-language singles of the decade and earning multiple platinum certifications.

Beyond his recording career, Baute has maintained a consistent presence on television as both an actor and a host. He has appeared in Spanish television series such as Aladinna and Mis Adorables Vecinos.
