Miguel Bosé (born Miguel Luchino González Bosé on April 3, 1956) is a Spanish musician and actor with a significant international following, particularly in the Spanish-speaking world. He has achieved mainstream success in both Spain and Latin America, and has also been recognized for his work in French cinema.
Born in Panama City, Panama, Bosé is the son of Italian actress Lucia Bosé and Spanish bullfighter Luis Miguel González Lucas. His godfather was the renowned Italian film director Luchino Visconti.
Early Career and Musical Breakthrough
Bosé began his career in acting in 1971, appearing in several films. However, he transitioned to music in 1975, embarking on a singing career. He recorded his initial singles with the assistance of Camilo Blanes. In 1977, Bosé signed with CBS Records, remaining with the label until 1984.
Citizenship and Recognition
On March 16, 2010, Miguel Bosé was granted Colombian citizenship in a ceremony held at the presidential palace, Casa de Nariño.
