The Plot in You
The Plot in You is an American metalcore band that originated in Hancock County, Ohio, in 2010. Initially conceived as a side project by Landon Tewers, a former member of Before Their Eyes, the band now features Tewers alongside guitarist Josh Childress, bassist Ethan Yoder, and drummer Michael Cooper.
Musical Evolution and Releases
Since their formation, The Plot in You has developed a substantial discography, including multiple EPs and studio albums. Their early work began with the EP Wife Beater in 2010, followed by their debut studio album, First Born, in 2011. The band continued to release new material with their second album, Could You Watch Your Children Burn, in 2013.
A significant shift occurred on July 17, 2015, when the band announced their signing with StaySick Recordings. This partnership led to the release of their album Happiness in Self Destruction on October 16, 2015. Two years later, on June 15, 2017, The Plot in You announced their departure from StaySick Recordings and their subsequent signing with Fearless Records. Alongside this announcement, they revealed their fourth studio album, Dispose, which was released on February 16, 2018.
The band's most recent studio album, Swan Song, was released on September 17, 2021, marking another chapter in their evolving sound and career.
