Freddie Gibbs

Freddie Tipton, born June 14, 1982, and widely known as Freddie Gibbs, is an American rapper who emerged from the challenging environment of Gary, Indiana. His rise to prominence was significantly boosted by his inclusion in XXL Magazine's "Freshman Class of 2010."

Gibbs' early career saw him signed to Interscope Records, though a formal album release did not materialize before his departure from the label. He established a strong independent presence through a series of influential mixtapes, including Live From Gary, Indiana, Big Bizness, The Miseducation of Freddie Gibbs, midwestgangstaboxframecadillacmuzik, and Str8 Killa No Filla. The Str8 Killa EP was released on August 3rd. His debut LP, Baby-Faced Killa, and the collaborative project The Devil's Palace with The Alchemist, both arrived in 2012. Further releases followed with Cold Day in Hell (2012) and ESGN (2013).
