Kevin Morby is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. He first gained recognition as the bassist for the folk-rock group Woods and later as the frontman for The Babies. In 2013, Morby launched his solo career.
His solo debut, Harlem River, was released in 2013. The album, described by Morby as an "homage to New York City," reflects his experiences living in the city for five years. Morby, originally from Kansas City, was based in New York during the creation of this work before relocating to Los Angeles.
