History
Supported by music press Acajou are considered one of the most promising Italian stoner rock band. Distorted and dilated sounds, heavy rhythms and halogen atmosphere take the band closer to heavy psichedelia and acid blues. Acajou are being playing since 1994 and, after a couple of demos, in 1998 they recorded the mcd Hidden From All Eyes co-produced with No Brain Rec. .They immediately found wide approvals from the critics and from the public audience. After the release of the double 7” split Cookery Course in association with That’s All Folks !, Hogwash and Vortice Cremisi, in 1999 Acajou took part with thier song Arkanoid to Red Sun stoner compilation Stone Deaf Forever, that gained KKKK on Kerrang magazine, along with the likes of Unida, Atomic Bitchwax, Solace, Beaver, Spirit Caravan and many more. Their live shows are very intense and full of energy. On July 1999 they played at the famous MTV rock festival Beach Bum in Jesolo (Venice) and in autumn they shared the stage with Unida, Beaver, Spirit Caravan and 7 Zuma 7. Now it’s finally available their full lenght debut Latin Lover on Red Sun, that shows ten magic songs for plus of 55 minutes of pure heavy black psichedelia. Acajou will promote the new album in Italy first and in autumn 2000 will be engaged in tour throughout Europe.
