History The Force

1. The Force, Old School Thrash Metal with N.W.O.B.H.M influences from Paraguay.

2. THE FORCE, a Drum & Bass Producer from the UK.

3. The Force, a 90's East Bay Hardcore Punk band featuring members of AFI, The Circus Tents, and VIva Hate.

(1) THE FORCE was formed in March 2007, by Mike Martínez on lead guitars and vocals and Sebass Román on bass, both ex members of Paraguayan classic thrash metal band OVERLORD who had split a month before.

After finding drummer Cesar Ferreira (another ex OVERLORD) and lead guitarist Carlos Carvallo they prepared the songs for an introductory demo cd-r which was released in December 2007. The four track demo cd-r entitled “OLD SCHOOL METAL ONSLAUGHT” was well received in the underground thrash/speed metal scene, which resulted in the band signing a 3 record deal with Brazilian label “Kill Again Records”.

The first album appeared towards the end of 2008, the 9-tracks debut cd “POSSESSED BY METAL” was again very well received, and was elected on Thrash Unlimited radio as best album of 2008. The first changes in personnel occur when Juan Barrios (bass) and Luis Almada (drums) join the band. The following year the band played for the first time in Bolivia, Argentina and Brazil, and many shows in Paraguay sharing the stage with the likes of TIM RIPPER OWENS, BYWAR, VIOLATOR. The band also released a live demo cd called “LIVE ASSAULT” with 5 songs from the first album and a new song called “Neckbreaking Metal” later recorded in their second album but with totally different lyrics.

In 2010 The Force appeared with 3 live songs in a 4 way split album called “THIRSTY OF METAL” along with the bands URSUS (Colombia), STRIKE MASTER (México) and DOMINUS PRAELII (Brazil). The split album was released by Colombian label “Violent Music”.

In march 2011 THE FORCE released their second studio album called “NATIONS UNDER ATTACK” with a great response from the underground metal community. New changes occur when Bruno Romero (drums) and Edu Valenzuela (guitar) join in. Once Again the band supported the album with shows in Bolivia and Brazil. The date in Brasilia/DF (Brazil) was filmed and recorded for a DVD official release. In November 2011 THE FORCE opened for MEGADETH on their first show in Paraguay.

Currently the band is rehearsing for the recording of the third album, with 9 songs ready. The first official DVD will also see the light sometime in 2012 through Kill Again Records, it will contain the entire show in Brasilia, and as bonus the entire show from 2008’s Asunción Mosh presentation, as well as another show from 2007 plus some really cool extras. Thrash til we die!!
