History
There seem to be more bands called The Changing Times. Feel free to add information for the others...
1. The Changing Times were a British beat band from Carshalton, Surrey, United Kingdom. Started in 1964 by three 14 year-old school friends they spent their weekend playing Stones and Beatles covers at weddings, parties and pubs/clubs. They never officially released a record, but in August 1965 they did record a version of Richard Berry's ubiquitous 'Louie Louie'. The original acetate EP with this recording on it was discovered relatively recently and 'Louie Louie' appeared on the box-set Fab Gear: The British Beat Explosion and its Aftershocks 1963-1967. The Changing Times were Steve Norman (vocals), Alan Jones (drums), Alan White (guitar), Mitch Mitchell (bass) and Ollie Olsen (rhythm guitar). Norman, Jones and White later became The Soupherbs.
