Tzompantli is Nahuatl for “skull rack” which was used for the public display of human skulls, typically those of war captives or other sacrificial victims. Tzompantli embodies the brutality and ritualism of the Mexica in their sound and style.

2. Tzompantli is a Mexican Folk/Power Metal band from Ciudad de México founded in 1989.
