There are at least two bands called Tumbleweeds:
Tumbleweeds is a Finnish rock band. Hailing from the western coast town, Vaasa, they’ve played together since the late 2006.
Tumbleweeds play raw and melodic rock tunes with a touch of Finnish melancholy. They’ve been influenced by many artists; Led Zeppelin, Queens Of The Stone Age, Nick Cave, Stone Temple Pilots are all worth to mention. In their own words, “Striking rock with a down-to-earth attitude”.
The band was formed by the lead-singer/songwriter Miika Salo and the guitarist Mikki Somppi (currently rockin' in Belgium). Soon along came Tommi Björklund on bass and Jouni Pesola keyboards and electro-acoustic guitar. Finally, the drummer Niko Leminen put the finishing touches to Tumbleweeds’ line-up and completed them as a band.
Tumbleweeds’ first recording, The Gutter , was done in August 2008. It was released in the internet in October 2008.
