HeadShy is and Austin, TX band comprised of Reese Beeman and James Adkisson, former members of the seminal Southwest psych outfit 7% Solution, master drummer Wayne Duncan and Lisa Lipkin, a bewitching singer-songwriter born to a jazz musician father and opera singer mother and who has worked alongside such prominent industry heavyweights as former Robert Plant guitarist Robbie Blunt, onetime Talk Talk bassist Simon Edwards and Manny Elias, who played drums on Tears for Fears' introductory 1983 masterpiece The Hurting. Guest musicians include Ikey Owens (Mars Volte & Free Moral Agents) who played organ on Coma.
La Belle Epoque has been widely praised by the press. Their first single, Coma, was debuted by My Old Kentucky Blog and premiered on My Old Kentucky Blog Radio on SIRIUS XMU before the release of the album. Their second single, Light That Guides The Blind, debuted on PopMatters. The band also appeared in The Big Takeover Magazine with songs from each EP featured on DJ Jack Rabid's BreathThru Radio Show, Magnet, and The Aquarian Weekly.
