History
Say Anything is an alternative rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, United States in 2001. The band has seen several lineup changes, with founder Max Bemis (lead vocals, guitar) as the only constant member. He is currently joined by his brother-in-law Garron DuPree (bass), Parker Case (keyboards, guitar) and Reed Murray (drums). The band has released seven albums in their career: "Baseball" (2001), "...Is a Real Boy" (2004), "In Defense of the Genre" (2007), "Say Anything" (2009), "Anarchy, My Dear" (2012), "Hebrews" (2014) and "I Don't Think It Is" (2016).
Say Anything, then called Sayanything, began their career when the band was still in high school. They self-released two EP's and one LP entitled Baseball. Baseball and the band's first EP, Junior Varsity, are both out of print and are no longer available. The band's second EP entitled Menora/Mejorah was released online. All of these early albums have a pop punk sound reminiscent of blink-182 and of Max's favorite band, Saves the Day.
